Yeah I know. You can also take the test in mainland. If you're thinking to get a job in Japan, it's worth taking. But when you want to study abroad or get a job outside Japan, that test is useless. I don't know about Hawaii case but considering that many Japanese live there, the TOEIC test may be accepted in Hawaii, but I just wanted to say it's not UNIVERSALLY accepted.
