Okay, this is a weird question, and I guess it's about genetics, but anyway-

My mother is American (white), and my father is Japanese (100% Japanese).

Well, my mother has blonde hair, and green eyes.
My father, being Japanese, has black hair, and almost coal-black eyes.

I, however, have pale skin (like my mother, and unlike my father), GREEN eyes (not dark green, but not BRIGHT either, kinda in between), and brown hair. My eyes aren't as... Asian looking as my father's, either. They haven't got the same... look. I dunno.
Anyway, according to just about EVERYONE- I look white. Actually, everyone thinks I AM white. (Though a few people say they think I look 1/4th Asian- not half.)

Now, I have a new baby sister, Ai. She looks totally Japanese. Exactly like my father; She has black hair, black eyes, but her skin is a bit fairer than our father's.

Anyway, why is it I look almost totally white, but my sister looks almost completely Japanese?
We've lived in Japan for 3 years before, and only just returned to America THIS year- then to find out that we're moving to Japan permanently this summer. (For my father's work.)

The problem is... I dunno, I kinda want to know why (or what the chances are that) I look white and not Japanese, like my father and sister. =/ Whenever I am in Japan, people just assume I'm a white American, with no Japanese blood. I know I am a Gaijin to them regardless- since I'm not completely Japanese regardless (though they all think I'm white), and I was born and partially raised in America... But... Ugh, I dunno. D:
I can’t speak fluent Japanese. Anddd no matter what, I'm white to everyone. Even in America, almost no one thinks I'm part Asian, let alone that I'm half. =/
